Harris Stanton is an American comedian based in Brooklyn, New York. Before comedy, Stanton was a Major League Baseball draft pick, selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 52nd round of the 1996 MLB Amateur Draft, after attending Spartanburg Methodist College in South Carolina. He decided to pursue comedy instead, going on to build a career now approaching two decades, performing at clubs including Carolines on Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, Stand-Up New York, and The Improv, as well as at universities such as MIT.

Stanton tours nationally and internationally, including appearances on European television, and has been featured on BET’s “Comic View,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend,” and “Comics Unleashed,” as well as a sketch character on “Saturday Night Live.” He recorded the comedy DVD “Elephant in the Room” alongside the late Patrice O’Neal, and has worked alongside comedians including Bill Burr, Tracy Morgan, Dave Chappelle, and Tony Woods. He was part of the opening-act lineup for Tracy Morgan’s “Turn It Funny” tour.

Harris released his own comedy album, “Naive Innocence,” in 2017, available on all platforms. His film and TV credits include “Holla If I Kill You” (2003), “Damon” (2006), and “Gotham Comedy Live” (2012).
