Rolonda Watts is an Emmy Award-winning multi-hyphenate whose name, face, and unmistakable voice have captivated audiences across TV, film, radio, theatre, digital media, and since 2018 stand-up comedy, which she took up well into her 50s after discovering menopause was, in fact, a joke. Her material covers online dating, sex and romance at a certain age, Gen Z’s pickiness, and life split between “real NYC” and “fake LA.”

A graduate of Spelman College and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, Watts began her career as a news reporter before making history with her own internationally syndicated talk show, “Rolonda,” which she also co-produced through her own production company. She currently serves as the announcer, promo voice, and stand-up comedy judge for the “Sherri” talk show following a long run as the on-camera announcer for “Judge Joe Brown.”

On screen, Watts stars as Lucille Williams in Bounce TV’s “Mind Your Business” and recurs as Adrienne Holland on Netflix’s “Survival of the Thickest,” with a filmography spanning dozens of television guest roles, animated voice work, and film credits including her first starring role in “A Mother’s Love.” She’s also the award-winning author of the romance novel “Destiny Lingers,” endorsed by Dr. Maya Angelou, and in 2024 was inducted into the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Silver Circle for her lifetime achievement in daytime television.
