Mae Planert is a Massachusetts-born, Manhattan-based stand-up comedian, writer, and podcaster. Her comedy zeroes in on hypocrisy and double standards in relationships, society, and culture as she puts it, the only thing she hates more than a hypocrite is herself. She turns the chaos of new parenthood, family life, and modern societal hypocrisy into sharp, cutting comedy, with a knack for transforming dark personal stories from her past (and not-so-distant past) into absurd, silly ones.

A regular in the New York City club scene, Planert has toured both domestically and internationally, bringing her sharp, no-nonsense perspective to audiences across the country and abroad. She has a special available on Amazon Prime titled “Who Is She?” and has been featured in The New York Times, Time Out New York, the New York Comedy Festival, and Comedy Central Digital.
